Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in the city of Winnipeg, but was raised in Wellington. She made her acting debut as Flora McGrath in The romantic-drama film The Piano. Paquin started her acting career when she was a kid, with the role of the Jane Eyre title character in the Franco Zeffirelli novel Jane Eyre as well as she played a significant role in Fly Away Home. Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the queen of Spain in a less prominent role. The role she played was for teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). Also, she portrayed the teen groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
