Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been an actress, director, producer, playwright as well as an educator in St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of performances as a kid as well as watching her mother doing her job. She appeared in many commercials when she was a child. Anna moved out of Toronto to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. The two were engaged by the year 2009. Anna became a Jew in 2011 after converting to Judaism. They were married civilly in December of this year. They then reaffirmed their vows at a Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton on April 11, 2011.
