Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31, 1965) is an American actress and model. As a child model, she earned acclaim for her work for her leading role in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She modeled into her teenage yearsand was recognized for her performance in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby. Shields began acting again in the 1990s and was seen in a few minor role in movies. She also appeared in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-202000), which was nominated for two Golden Globes. Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) was her second nomination. In 2017, Shields was back on NBC with a major recurring role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the show's 19th season. Shields is the voice of Beverly Goodman in Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles since 2014. Brooke Christa Shields is a New Yorker who was born May 31 1965 in Manhattan. She is the daughter of businessman Frank Shields (1941-1903). Based on William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields was a descendent of several noble families from Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Her paternal grandmother was Italian noblewoman Marina Torlonia di Zivitella-Cesi she was the daughter of an Italian prince and an American socialite. Her great-uncle was the Italian nobleman Alessandro Torlonia, the husband of Infanta Beatriz of Spain.When Teri announced that she was pregnant, the family of Frank offered her a sum of money to terminate the pregnancy.
